Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former executive in the banking industry and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is half-Spanish and an English-speaking woman. Her father, an Argentinan of Scottish as well as English descendant is also her mother. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. Family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy said the move to London was traumatic and she did not learn English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she transferred from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's productions. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy was an actress as a kid who knew she would become one. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
